MICHAEL KIRKPATRICK

Michael Kirkpatrick, defies the stereotype of size dictating success in hockey, using his intelligence and exceptional hockey IQ to forge an accolade-studded career in the sport. Despite his smaller stature, Michael proved that hockey is as much about skill and smarts as it is about physicality. Michael credits his dedication, student of the game and refining his skills as a young hockey player as to what propelled him to have a successful career. 

As a QMJHL player, Michael showcased his talent and dedication by winning the Memorial Cup Championship, breaking the all time leading point and goal total and earning invitations to three NHL Camps in his four years with the Saint John Sea Dogs. These achievements laid down the foundation for Michaels journey in the world of hockey. 

While pursuing his passion for the game, Michael understood that the game of hockey presented more than just physical challenges, it presented opportunities for personal growth and development. Michael used hockey as a springboard to pursue a scholarship attending STFX University where he balanced his academic pursuits while playing for the University Men's hockey team.  This dual commitment not only honed his skills as a player but also presented him the opportunity to represent Team Canada in the FISU games where he won a gold medal in Italy.  After his University Career Michael transitioned to the professional ranks, spending time in both the AHL and ECHL in various NHL minor league systems. 

Today, Michael stands as a shining example of using the game of hockey as a vehicle for education and personal development. Michael serves to teach young athletes everywhere, demonstrating that determination and focus, one can achieve success both on and off the ice. 

NATHAN BEAULIEU

Nathan Beaulieu, a dedicated athlete from a young age, relocated to the Maritimes to pursue his NHL dreams. Nathan Beaulieu's journey to NHL success was anything but conventional. From a young age, he wasn't the standout player on his minor league teams, but his determination and adaptability set him apart. Starting as a forward, he transitioned into an offensive defenseman, demonstrating his willingness to embrace new roles for the team's benefit. 

The Saint John Sea Dogs recognized his potential and team play, although his first year in junior hockey was quite the learning curve where he saw limited ice time.  Determined, Nathan honed his skills and deepened his understanding of the game, eventually becoming a pivotal player for the Sea Dogs and setting records in defenseman scoring, winning multiple league championships including a Memorial Cup Championship which ultimately led to being drafted in the first round (17th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens. 

Nathan faced new challenges in the professional ranks and evolved his game to become a trusted defensive presence at the highest level.  His ability to adapt to the demands of each situation propelled him through stints with various NHL teams, including Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, and Anaheim Ducks. From the powerplay to penalty-killing, Nathan's versatility and resilience defined his decade-long NHL career, encompassing nearly 500 games. 

Nathan aims to channel his passion into mentoring young athletes. His mission is to guide them to unlock their full potential, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and excelling in individual strengths. Nathan believes in the power of adaptation, both on and off the ice, as a key to success in all aspects of life.
